Quickies
Nah, it's not what you think. I'm just in a rush to put something in here so it's a dash of stuff here and there...
- I finally bought my ODM watch yahoo!!! I've been crushing on it since I saw it on Bianca Gonzales and I bought one on installment. One thing bad about it is that I can't spend on anything else during the next six months.
- There's this cool site on multiply -- http://mylittledress.multiply.com that sells absolutely adorable stuff. Unfortunately I can't afford it because of the previous thing I wrote. *sigh*
- I'm turning into a shopping monster again and Randy's not very happy about it. :)
- I'm thinking of applying for a new job...
- I was irked on the MRT again! There's this girl the other day, who elbowed me...sobrang atat to get on and grab a seat. The reason I discovered a little later on was that isa pala siya sa mga kinaiinisan kong powder on the train gels. She brought out this pink Pond's powder bottle out of her pa-kikay shoulder bag, poured some on her palm tapos nagpapagpag bago naglagay sa mukha. I was shocked and amazed at the same time.

Food thoughts
I'm really scrapping the end of the barrel here, blogging about what we talk about during lunch. Just so I keep you guys happy with something to read, please forgive me for my so-so thoughts lately.
So how should I start this? The lunch group were talking about stuff that we don't like to eat. Of course veggies come on top of the list. Me, I'm a bit picky about sea food -- I don't eat crab and some fishies like ayungin and hito. They smell real bad for me to eat. I remember my sister and I hated it when my Lola cooked ayungin or hito because most of the time we were the designated clean up crew after every meal. Eventhough we didn't eat em, the fish will stink up the dining table, the plates, even the glasses. Washing the stuff is a real chore cause even after you use Joy and calamansi on your hands, it still stinks big time. Well, that off my chest we then proceeded to talking about weird stuff we eat. Someone (I don't recall who) said that a friend of his/her ate everything with ketchup, which was like eww, considering he likes eating sinigang with it. We recalled the Mang Tomas lechon sauce ads where they made the sauce a spread for pandesal. double eww.
Now here are the list so far of things people I know don't like to eat:
*okra (Grace and Randy hate the slimy stuff)
*cucumber (Again the sliminess of the veggie gets to Randy)
*suka (Thess gets a point here)
*mayonaisse (Thess and Lucille as far as I can remember has never touched the stuff)
*avocado (This makes Pia vomit)
*pizza (How can anyone hate this food? Well, Cors does)
*food with red sauce (Cors really hates 'em & this includes spaghetti)
*crab (I like the synthetic kani but the real thing makes me go "Gross!")
*liver (The 2 Pia's I know would rather jump off a building than eat liver)
*ponkan (Again Thess gets the point on this one)
*watermelon (Si Thess ulit! Weird ng taste buds ng taong to di ba?)
*hamburger (Cors din ayaw nito)
*menudo (Nauumay si Flow dito)
*tuyong adobo (Si Pia naman ang umay dito)
*ampalaya (Grace had to endure this because of her anemia, she had no other choice)

You Are Here...
Me and the gang were finally up and about last Friday but it was not the usual 'joyride' we used to have. Actually our "driver" Jerry was in the hospital and we visited him after his operation (as to which part of his body..it's a secret) at the Medical City along Ortigas.
Yes. We were right there.
It was a very weird get-together you might say, missing months of taking 'joyrides' together. They planned it to be an all-nighter but how can 8 people sleep inside a very cramped room?
Me standing beside Jerry's dextrose which he moved to make room for Grace on his bed.
Jerry tried his best to be sober around us but within minutes we had him cracking up (the doctor told him not to laugh too much). The poor patient had to even endure watching us while we ate his favorite monggo soup, kare-kare and fish for dinner (bawal kasi sa kanya hehehe).
Poor guy. He even had to make room for us on his bed. He can't even walk properly yet.
Here are some of the people present during this "rare event":
Grace, the gal who hogged Jerry's bed and the remote *lol*
Ana, just discovered the joy of Eaji's salsa dip and couldn't stop saying 'Mmmm....'
Ate Net texting away on her motorazor...
Thess, also checking up on 'someone'...
Zeny, pretty shocked at what Jerry 'revealed' to her (he put on a show for the early birds a few minutes before)
And last but not the least the overworked Nhila Mallari who had a 5AM flight the following day.
It was important for us to be there that day for Jerry is actually leaving for the US in a few weeks. *sniff* No more joyrides. There will be a special despidida for him but I guess we're catching up on lost time.
The gang. Hopefully we'll still journey together even without B3 (short for Batu-Batong Bakla).
Get well soon Jers. See you on the 15th.

"Windy, windy, windy..."
That's how the Eugene song "Windy" goes and I wanted to sing that (and dance the infamous steps too)when she visited Manila and the station last Friday. Of course, it's another gazoo sighting for me and work at the same time, which makes me love my job sometimes.*lol* Anyway she was real pretty! Not as tall as I expected but real nice and lovely. She had a good command of the english language so it was no biggie for us to call out to her (which I didn't, pretending to be a professional writer and all that *ahem*). I've liked her even way back during my "arirang" days. I've watched Pops in Seoul like hundreds of times and caught on S.E.S fever (her singing group with Bada and Shoo) since they belonged to SM Entertainment then, the same management as BoA and FTTS. I wonder if she'd sign the pirated S.E.S CD that I bought in Ongpin. Hahaha, I know she won't. But I know of a stalker friend who got her photobook successfully signed.*lol*

Princess Mode
Warning: Fan Girl rambling ahead! :)
Eversince Tin told me that Eun-Hye reminded her of me, it made me wanna watch Princess Hours (Goong) more. After making hints at Randy to buy me a copy (passing the pirated DVD copy everyday on the way home) he finally does and here I am watching an episode every night. Well, actually I watched three the first time and two last night so now I'm on Chapter 20! Four more to go whoopee.
Hmm...first off, I do see myself in Eun-Hye, I mean not as pretty as her but in her style of dressing and her mannerisms (tama ka Tin!). Camille asked me a few days back if I'm rooting for Yul or Shin. At first well...Yul had this Hua Ze Lei feel, but now I'm getting more into Shin's masungit yet softy personality. And the bears at the end of each eppy, they are sooo cute!
Hmm...would they all live happily ever after? Gusto kong maging prinsesa! -- not. Hehe...millionaire na lang.

Bring Back My Bunny to Me

The last of my bunnies has died and gone to bunny heaven. *sniff* I really cried when my grandma called me to say that Velveteen aka Ebeng had passed away last Saturday. She died of old age. She was already 8 years old. Her hubby, Rabitty, passed away about 3 years ago due to an eye infection. I miss them.
Ebeng, during Christmas of 2005. She snorts when you pick her up. She hates being cuddled.
Thanks Ivy for giving me those bunnies waaay back in college.

Here I am again doing silly stuff. Last night me and Randy bought this box of pore strips. Sucker for cute packaging, I chose the one with this girl cartoon on the front. At home as I closely inspected the box, it said "Made in Japan". Ah kaya naman pala na-magnet ako. So here I am modelling the pore strip for you guys. And I am glad to report that I don't have much blackheads on my nose (unless press release lang yung nasa box na nakakalinis siya). *heh*

Dreary Monday
It's another rainy monday. I really hate the rainy days. The DJs on the radio are right. One would love the rain IF you're absolutely ain't gonna do anything except lounge around the house. Or you're not living in Malabon and Navotas. Hehe -- the reason why we always tease Flow to bust out his kayak everytime it rains. (He refers to his home in Sangandaan an island.)

Dong Wook-shi!
I wanted to call him that when he walked by right in front of us after the presscon. The agony of being so near yet so far. Alright I'm not a major LDW fan, but he's a Korean actor and a good looking one at that so therefor he counts on my must-see-in-person list. We (Abby and I) were at the presscon at exactly 4 PM. We got in together with the publishing people and got seated at the table right in front. Of course I had to test my camera (ah my SO's pala) so I took pictures of the A.rang poster beside the MyGirl one. I was surprised when this Korean girl started talking to me. She was actually a writer for Manila Seoul Weekly, a publication for Koreans in the PH. I also got to talk to her Filipino counterpart, Tin.
Then commotion. He has finally arrived. LDW had this boyish charm about him that made him more...approachable. He laughed graciously at some of the press people's jokes and comments.
BUT an old fag, who thinks his clout can get him anywhere gate crashed the presscon, fought with LDW's interpreter plus grabbed his arm, the injured one at that! He started calling people names, said something ill to the guests and stomped out like an ogre who didn't get what he wanted. All hopes of getting a picture with LDW flew out the window...He has agreed to a group picture for goodness sake!
This was the closest I got. Oh well, at least I got to ask him the last question of the day and managed to say, "Anneyonghaseo! Patricia imnida!...". And that ends my LDW adventure. *bow* (I'll post links to the pics as soon as I dl them.)

Gusto ko palang gumasta...
Last Friday, I wanted to do something that I couldn't quite put my finger on. Yun pala I just needed to cure an itch. My shopping itch! Hehe, haven't done that hobby for quite a while. Good thing Shangrila Mall was on their end of season sale! Yehey. My significant other looked funny sitting in a corner while waiting for me try on stuff. I was chuckling to myself because he was lumped together with other guys waiting for their gfs who were trying on clothes too. *lol* Well, to put it short I'm broke again. Bought new shoes from So F.A.B. (the one in the pic I'm wearing today and jeans from BAYO. I wanted to buy a bag too but seeing a very nice and expensive one at SM, I decided to hold my bag itch off and just save for it. Wish ko lang it would still be there. =) *Cherry will kill me if she sees this entry.

Ish Ur Berday
Yep. Turned another year older. Blech. =)
Had a small GT with the TEC girls (get together -- remember that term girls???). Strong rains prevented Mai, Ivy and Cherry from coming but that's Ok. Liezle, Eve, Bambie, Dhing, Tina, Jopen, Leah and Joy did a good job at finishing all the food. Actually I received 3 cakes from them (a chocolate, brazo de mercedes and crema de fruta) plus the mango crunch cake Randy bought me the day before. (He's even more excited over my birthday than I am.) I think they all have a plan to make me a blimp by the end of the year.
So it's a Monday again. I feel lousy actually. I'm wearing my fat pants today. I call them fat pants because 1.) I only wear it when I'm really fat 2.) It also makes me look fat. Hehehe...weird logic. The 3 pairs of jeans left that fit me now are still hanging outside to dry. My beautiful pairs of pants (about 5-6) DO NOT fit anymore. Dang! Seriously I need to lose the fat that's accumulated at my hips, thighs and butt.
Sigh. Oh before I forget, I am still accepting belated birthday gifts 'til the end of this month. ;)

Missing Home
Haven't been around here lately. Well, work has me occupied once more. Actually it's not work perse but my "extra stuff" to earn "extra lot". I guess I'm eager to get a lot of writing jobs because as of recent there's a huge rift between me and my mom. I dunno there's been some kind of 'thing' that we've been circling around on and I just keep pushing it at the back of my to-do list. And you know me I don't really like getting into confrontations.
Uh you might be wondering what has this got to do with my financial stats... Oh-k. My mom just remarried and she's fixing a lot of papers here and there. Don't ask me the details...Anyway I think my time as the favored daughter is up since she's been talking to my sister a lot (Sometimes I feel that it's all because she has an American fiance who's gonna bring her to the US). All I'm getting are pretty much second hand info from Pia. I'm just a phone call or email away and I just hate to be the last person to know that I AM going to be encountering something BIG.
Since I was young I hate digressing about money stuff. Traumatized probably by my father's irresponsible ways. Then the burden of handling OUR financial stuff more or less made me --- I don't know how to describe it. Materialistic? Thrifty? A money worry wart? I have been keeping home eversince she left and believe me its hard, not just keeping house but keeping everything and everyone together.
Ah, well to continue, I have been informed that we will not be receiving our monthly allowance from her. 'Til further notice. So dear friends don't expect to see me in a few months or so *heh* Seriously, I have wracked my brain for resources other than my freaking slave salary. I'm sour graping too that she can send my older sister money anytime she asks for help. But when its our turn, know what she said? "Malalaki na nga kayo dapat di ko na kayo iniintindi." WTF.
Some of you are lucky. You have a family -- a daddy, a mommy, a dog. A roof on your head to call your own. No one to throw you out...Really sometimes I just feel a bit lost.
I guess the angsty me is still in here after all. This scar's probably deeper than all the other scars that i have. I'm ending it here for now. I can feel the tears welling at the corners of my eyes. It's not good for the eye make-up I put on for 20 minutes this morning.

Kissing Diet

Eating dinners with my significant other had the pounds I lost catching up on me again. So I was searching the internet for dieting tips (yeah yeah) and I chanced upon this one in Reader's Digest

The Day I Went Back to School
Yes, I went back to U.P. the other week. I really wanted to take those Korean lessons so Pia, Flow, Abby together with Grace and Cors who were paying for advanced Korean classes trekked to U.P. It's the first time I went back to my unibersidad na mahal ^^ for like almost 6 years. I went there last in 2000 for the latern parade.
We got off at the Palma Hall Annex, near the Educ bldg. Man, it was like a trip back to 1995! I remember taking my Philo 1 class at the 2nd floor of the Educ bldg. The entire block ran off to the Sunken Garden to escape our boring teacher (who was late for 15 mins BTW and suddenly popped out of nowhere. Remember the rule?) *lol* I remember walking to math class after that with my whole freshie block. *sigh* I remember being just 16 years old!!!! geez...

Ayway we ate at the Beach House (mga pare at mare 24 pesos na po ang isang stick ng bbq dati 12 lang yun...) and walked towards the Asian Center through the Main Library and around the Sunken Garden. Here I am doing skips here and there with Flow.

After Grace and Cors stop over at the AC, we walked (still) going to the chapel and Shopping Center. Sobrang memories talaga everywhere! The smell of zerox powder, Miranda's, UP souvenir shirts, bluebooks, ice cream and the coop grocery.
Hay I miss going to school, the time when all you thought about was passing your subjects, graduating, torturing your org applicants and saving enough money from your allowance to watch movies at SM North Edsa during breaks. *sigh*

The Eiffel Tower...
Not. We got a bit tired of our 9th floor restroom so we decided to primp ourselves in one of the 13th floor CRs. It also got us to tour Abby, our new writer around. This is the view from there...a deranged man once tried to climb the tower but he got caught. I wonder though how he got there without security noticing him.
Anyway just to put this on record, I'm acting up on my boyfriend today. Ala lang. Nice to rile him up once in a while. ;)

Because of my current work load (which will end by Saturday hopefully) I have come up with a proposal of future edition themes...
1.) Gay Edition - Sino sa kanila ang tunay na nagpasalon?
2.) Politician Edition - Who will not be murdered in their sleep?
3.) UAAP Edition - Let's switch colors, let Ateneo wear green and La Salle don blue then see what happens.

5.) The Guess Whos Gay Edition - Think of that reality game show. Yun na yun. (The one who goes "Pare pa-kiss." is the culprit)
6.) Family Celebrity Edition - Mga Gutierrez vs Mga Cruz (something to that extent mwahahah)

"Arrgh!"
That was everyone's general expression on our floor when the lights went out. It was weird really to think that we are supposedly the "IT" section of the company and here we were, without any protection system for our PCs. At my former office in the other building, when the lights go out my PC remains open. Haha.
To go back to the "Aarrgh!" expression from yesterday, I was updating my site then and what frustrated me was, since my PC takes forever to upload and insert pictures, I have to restart AND add pics again. I was 2 pictures away to pressing update. Boo-hoo.
And when I looked up everyone was on their feet. Cursing. Parang stock market ang nagcrash...

Dead Tired
I've only been in-charge of the site's content since Saturday and I feel that's its already taking a toll on me. It's only 12:49 PM and I feel so tired. I've drank a cup of caffe mocha despite my deminishing financial resources to keep me awake. I forgot to tell you guys that I got home at 1:30 AM last Saturday. Looks like there's gonna be a repeat in a few days.
To those who know which site I'm talking about please visit and give me a feed back. I'm working my ass off it and I'm still partly doing editing for www.abs-cbn.com eventhough my boss told me a switch of duties meant me being hands-off my former responsibilities. Guess I was wrong. And this PC I'm using stinks. Last night it took me ages to edit pictures and uploading stuff that I wanted to end my misery (and the comp's) by pitching the CPU outside the window, from the 9th floor. If there was one open that is.
I'll probably be seeing you guys at the end of this edition. (hint,hint) Hopefully I haven't pulled all my hair out by that time.

stumped
After churning out word after word yesterday, seems like I'm finally stumped. I'm forcing myself to write (work wise) but my eyes, hands and brain coordination seem not to be in sync. The episode guides are now getting to be quite a mountain. And I don't think it will become even a mole hill any time soon.
And since I am financially strapped I accepted another writing job for Star Studio yesterday with a deadline today. I turned in another assignment from them last Tuesday (that was due Monday, blame my 'surprise' work assignment). This is the most number of articles I've done in a week. I think it could be an equivalent of my half a year's work in TC, oh way back then.
Should go back to my article. It's due in about 2 hours.

hell week
I've been work ladden since Monday. The word processing machine in my brain is probably overheating. I can't even put a decent entry in here. Haven't seen my friends in ages (a week feels jurassic to me). My boyfriend is threatening to take me to a horror flick on our monthsary. I'm having a hard time finding clothes that fit. My episode guides are piling up and Panday is just killing me.

Grammar Lessons
I'm currently having grammar lessons on the net (what's good about learning this way is that you can even write in your blog whenever you want to, without getting a scolding from the teacher). Anyway, I'm getting more concious about the stuff I've been writing lately, me already a grammar OC (obssesive compulsive if you must know what the two letters mean). Example topics are "What Is an Interjection, and How Do I Punctuate It?" and "The Loyal Apposition". Don't ask me yet what those things are because I'm still reading up on it.
I think I have come into terms with myself that I have to live with being a writer (yeah this has just dawned on me lately after taking up four years of Journalism in college and making a living as a writer for six years) and that I should better myself at what I am doing. Hence the grammar lessons. I could be Chief Grammar Police in a few days or so. *heh*. Or so I wish... Pwede bang mangotong ng ganitong 'pulis'? I might just turn into an overnight millionaire. *lol*
Just a note -- I have now capitalized my I(s)and the beginning of my sentences. I also plan to put proper commas, quotation marks and other punctuation marks in the right places. I pledge allegiance to the grammar gods and leaders from this day forward (I'm keeping fingers crossed behind my back).

house bound reporting
it's back to the grinding board! another toxic monday. i was excited to go back to work actually. aircondition finally! ah...i truly languished in the heat over the long weekend. my sis and i were like buns baking in the oven *lol*
aside from perspiring (ladies don't sweat haha) i wasn't able to accomplish much as i have thought i would. i did do my laundry. and that was pretty much it. hehehe. oh and i did watch most of the k-movie dvd's i have collected in a month. hmm... my list includes mr.housewife, he's so gorgeous, 100 days with mr. arrogant, afrika (which was pretty bad), jenny juno, love so divine and the classic. i still have a few more titles left though.
we also had an animax and hero tv marathon. hmm...what else...bucky's booted out of idol. i want the pickles next. teehee.
and the highlight of it all...we caught the fat mouse that has been bugging the hell out of me for days!!! yey!

well i know most of you guys will be going on vacation for the next 3-4 days. me, you know where to find me. i'll be staying home with pia, would probably attend to neglected household chores i.e. laundry duties, scrubbing the bathroom floor, sweeping my room (broom meet bedroom floor, floor meet broomy)and having a korean movie marathon.
i don't go out of town during the holy week. i still believe in reflecting during these times and not treating it as a time to rest, time to go on a vacation and have fun. i have this fear in the back of my mind that lightning might strike me or a mini tsunami sweeping over some island should i parteee on those 3 days. it's just 3 days out of the whole year besides sundays (na madalas kahati pa ng malling and catching up on sleep) to offer to HIM.
oh if you are going out there, somewhere, take care and have fun. and try to think about HIM even for a little while.

ohh-kay...
i wasn't in a very good mood this morning so i was a bit cranky riding the MRT. so sullen me noticed all the most annoying things i could possibly see in the station and on the train...
*why is that some people confuse which side of the station goes to the north and to the south? like duh. san ka ba papunta? E di dun din yung direksyon ng tren ng MRT. s-t-u-p-i-d. (mainit talaga ang ulo ko kanina...)
*guys who can't keep their legs to themselves. meaning yung mga nakabubukaka na halos i-occupy na ang buong seat sa MRT. kala mo naman malaki ang...katawan. *lol*
*people who talk as if they are the only people on the train. (i've written an entry about this before. medyo guilty dito yung mga call center agents na may pa-english english pa, ahehehe sorry sa mga tatamaan) at mga taong kala mo sila lang ang may cellphone sa buong mundo. hello! (telephone? *lol*)
*just a quirk. i noticed a real gorgeous guy on the train and sad to say he had a big turn off. he looked like a model but he had no ass! wehehehe...ang panget pala nun!
okay. now that's off my chest...on to breaking news....

sine klasiks
edu manzano in yellow spandex? i almost laughed out loud when i saw herbert bautista morph into captain barbell yesterday. and man, the effects were hilarious. and now they are showing once upon a time two starring dolphy. winner talaga ang trip to memory lane.

Never judge another person's scars, because you don't know how they got them.
i never in my whole life thought i would be called a slut. yes you read that right. and to think the person who thinks i am does not even really know me. he was the one who even said that we are not close friends. and lalaki ang taong ito.
you don't know who i am and where i came from. you don't know personal stories about my past nor my family. i may have made mistakes with some decisions in my life and learned from them. falling from grace doesn't give you the power to judge me that way. what gives you the right to condemn me?
we tried to be your friend. heck we even shunned other people from our circle for you. but then they were the ones who were right. we were never really enemies with them so huwag mong sasabihin na pinaplastik namin sila. tumahimik lang kami ng dahil sa yo. and don't be so righteous about yourself. blaming others for calling me names, kaya ginawa mo? ginaya mo ang taong galit sa akin? again back to my first point. you don't KNOW me enough to say those things. di ba unjust yun?

my mobile phone beeps. a text message from my aunt.
tita: nanay mo ba yung nandun sa chika minute? nakita ko siya sa oscars.
me: (puzzled) ano po yung chika min? wala naman po syang nabanggit the other day when she called.
tita: sa channel 7. i swear siya yun. smiling, katabi nung ininterview ni lhar santiago.
me: eh kaya naman pala di ko alam kapuso pala pinapanood niyo. sige i'll ask her.
i send an SMS to my mom right after.
me: ma nakita ka daw ni tita sa TV sa ch.7. asa oscars ka ba?
ma: oo, i'll tell you about it later. antok na ko.
nge! ang showbiz talaga ng nanay ko...
later that night i waited for the GMA evening news. no mistaking, nanay ko nga yun!

the kid in me
i miss the kid in me. lately i feel that i've been missing her. i think she got lost. somewhere. don't get me wrong i still love hello kitty, the color pink, cute korean stuff -- kpop artists included, flip flops, rabbits, seventeen magazines and juvenille books.
but lately i feel like i've been caught up in too many grown-up stuff that the kid took a step back, packed some things up and went on vacation.
i miss the days when i could think of nothing but trivial stuff. i miss my fanatic days. my do-nothing-but-read-a-book or watch TV days. i also miss the-save-for-that-favorite-shoe days.
jopen would often say that i am a 27-year-old thinking like a 40-year-old. flattering that i think maturely for my age but sometimes i wanna turn that logical/analitical thinker in me off.
that's what i hate growing up. you come around to reality. *ugh*

i was listening to chico and delamar this morning, their topic was top 10 sexist comments you've heard/received. del (close kami) commented that she read somewhere that a big percent of an offsping's intelligence comes from the mother. curious about it, i looked it up on the net when i got here at the office.

weekend thoughts
i have neglected this blog due to the fact i had too much going on my mind the past few days. so ok, i'm back with thoughts here and there...
1. Kris Aquino's Pantene shampoo ad - she's reportedly paid 8M for this commercial. Heck i dunno why. *lol* and there's something weird about the shampoo's type -- age defying something. don't get me wrong, i use pantene and i love the brand to pieces but ageing hair? IMHO, i don't see age in a person's mane. i see it in his/her face. therefore if you are looking old, it's not the hair that needs a lift, it's the face. BTW hair looks old if it's graying so dye is the answer to your problems not some shampoo endorsed by kris.
2. The Job - you must be wondering what's my decision over that. well i just turned it down a few minutes ago. funny, here i am praying for a bit more cash in my pocket and i end up turning my back on the answer. the thing is i know what i am capable of, and i know i am not yet ready to take on that kind of responsibility. "you're in a dead end job!" some of you might say. but for me it is a bit hard to do a job well if your heart isn't really into it.
so now patricia you go scrimp some more on your meager wages. ^_^*
3. WWE Raw - yep i gave in to the BF. i went with him to the Araneta last Saturday, the 25th to watch WWE amidst the state of emergency declaration of GMA. And even though we were in the general patronage area it wasn't all that bad (although araneta could fix the bathrooms to match their supposed sosy image now). We had interesting bleacher-mates, a mother and daughter team. i was in awe with their knowledge of the game, specially the mom, who could even give me a blow by blow of what happened during the royal rumble. she even knew the names and theme songs of the wrestlers by heart hehehe. there were college kids behind us who could give the WWE commentators a run for their money, they were hilarious. I'm happy that i made randy happy (he couldn't stop thanking me after for going with him -- mahabang pakiusapan yun). the matches were great, the diva's were hot (i long for a WWE diva bod) and araneta was filled to the hilt (super kumita yung producer nito). and the highlight of the show was seeing Edge's t-back underwear, exposed accidentaly by John Cena for all the world to see... wahahaha...

wanna know a secret?
shh...
i just realized that there are some secrets that are to be kept and buried. even though you want so much to tell someone, there are also so many things at stake that you would rather suffer in silence. but with the silence also comes guilt. that guilt would probably gnaw at my soul for the rest of my life.
but...
the clanking sound of bones in my closet got louder as i got confronted by my conscience again. i wanted to speak out.
yet...
i know i will be taking this secret to the grave. nothing good will come out of it. ever.

super headache
i have a bionic headache today. wasn't able to accomplish much except for the headline for tomorrow. i meant to finish half of my gulong ng palad episode summaries for the site but then who could think when you want to bang your head against your PC monitor? gosh i've done only about 2 eps....heehee...

the saga of shaider and annie part eleven
dear shaider,
i know we have been colleagues for so long. we've shared about a hundred coffee cups from the vending machine across the hall. we've watched reruns of king kong vs. godzilla over and over again while waiting for fumalear to strike again in the lounge. you held my hand while i cried over spilling bleach on the team uniforms. we've talked about anything under the sun, from my skirt being vertically-challenged (and my love for pink undies) to how you like smelling your boots in the morning.
but then again i have been having these secret feelings for you for so long too...i dunno if keeping it would be as painful as you not returning it. but as adelaide, our robot has adviced me, regrets are like choosing new oil for your engine instead of the usual. your engine might run 'nice' for a while but it won't last as long as your usual oil. without the usual your engine will rust and eventually have holes.
so here i am writing you this stupid letter. i like you really. maybe even love you. more than our cappucinos in the morning. or that drama i wait for at night. but then who am i to have your undivided attention? there are girls prettier than me. or maybe more experienced. in our field that is. it's scary that you have a big heart. because i might be reading more into how you are treating me. yet i am too still hopeful that in that big heart of yours, there might be a wee bit of a space for me.
i do wish you would reply in whatever manner you want. i am afraid to lose the friendship yet i think i am more afraid to lose the love. i am giving you space to think about the things that i have said. i'll be asking our general to assign me to distant g-10 in the dirdron galaxy. i will miss you.

i had a sinking feeling you would be bringing up this subject soon enough. i felt it eversince that incident, when fumelear stepped over my boots and ruined it. you were so worried that we won't ever find its replacement.
i really don't know what to say. i value our friendship a lot. you are the only person i know who loves king kong vs. godzilla like i do. you are an exceptional girl, annie. you're very special to me. but then i'm still not ready to go into a relationship, especially now that fumelear's forces have moved into planet zorko. the general has assigned me a special roving task, i have to monitor it almost 24/7.
you're leaving me? who will replace you in the control booth? there will be no other control girl like you annie. not even alibaba, who can open doors with a snap of a finger. or was that wave of a hand? uh. whatever that is, we have chemistry. no other team can beat us. but if that is your decision, then i can't do anything about it...
can't you wait for me?

so you wanna be an artista?
i made an article with the same title for a seventeen magazine issue some years back. i just remembered it after hearing a commercial for a best food mayo kid search where one can be a star in its newest TV ad.
oh that advertisement isn't the only one. add to that the rejoice ganda kada, its palmolive spin-off and close up extra wannabe for the movie close to you. everyone wants to be an artista nowadays and the media really, really is hyping it up. reality searches are a dime a dozen these days. PBB -- bleah masyado na siyang palasak if you ask me. no substance in some of the winners whatsoever. i was disappointed really when every single one of them wanted to be an actor/actress/host etc.
what has our country come to? the artista wannabe philippines? be an artista, be a politician, be an enterpreneur, be a model, be a millionaire? as someone working in the media i wish sometimes that our channel can promote that being something else like a teacher, lawyer or doctor can make you SOMEONE. not just being an artista.
that's why i hate kids who imitate those brainless gyrating dancers or sing those so called novelty songs. there's so much glamour put into these things that make me sick sometimes...

but what's the substance in it??? *sigh*
and don't answer me it's for the sake of art. that's bullsh*t.

- Patty has little need for water and is capable of going for months without drinking at all. (my aunt used to call me a camel in my teens because i rarely go to the bathroom when we go out.)

My WWE story
i dunno if i have ever written something about my boyfriend being a WWE fan. I've been reintroduced to entertainment wrestling, me having watched WWF before as a kid and was more familiar with the old school wrestlers, you know, hulk hogan, andre the giant, macho man, jake the snake, brutus the barber beef cake and rowdy piper among others. :)
well bf has been convincing me to watch the WWE tour with him. even if it was at the turrets of the araneta coliseum. (everything has been sold out,tickets left are the 480 and 900). but when i explained to him how high that was gonna be, i finally convinced him to be content watching WWE on TV and not waste money on sky high (literally) seats.
but then mick foley makes a surprise visit to the philippines. in case you are clueless to who he is, he's a semi-retired wrestler with 3 different personalities in the ring, cactus jack, dude love and mankind. well he had a meet and greet at the megamall last saturday and surprises of surprises, i was there waiting for randy, for we were going to the movies to see underworld 2. he was on his way to ortigas from the office when i texted him mick foley arrived already cause i was sitting in mc donald's seeing all the commotion. he said he was going to hurry up.
meanwhile the good ol' gf tried her best to get a picture of his 'idol' *lol*
foley was very gracious in posing for pictures and signing stuff for fans, but sadly the promoters for the WWE feb 24-25 tour was rushing the guy everywhere so they had to leave early. and boyfriend didn't get to see him. just the pictures from my mobile. *aww shucks!*
now he's excited all over again. so we're back to the question "to watch? or not to watch?" *lol* maybe i need a tagteam on this one. :)
