Post New Year's Post

Yeah yeah. It's already 2007 and I'm a week or so behind from posting. But it is better late than never... so here I am.

Christmas was again spent at my lola's in Bulacan. I was taken aback to know 2 weeks later that my lola was extra glad of our stay there. She cooked the usual beef asado. There was also my Tita Muriel's bbq (I'm drooling just remembering it). Lola added her special dinuguan to this year's Christmas menu. My uncle and his family came. My cousin and his wife irritated me by telling me I should get married soon (I'm old enough to decide on this please). Surprisingly my Ate, her husband and kids made an appearance this year. There's supposed to be a group photo sent to me by the aforementioned cousin but knowing him he'll send it Christmas next year. So I'm just posting a picture of my mom's Christmas mug. She's missing Christmas in Pinas. We miss her too. *sniff*

I mentioned attending the Talent Center Christmas party. And I had the same feelings about it like last year's. They were all still my friends yet things are...different. I was already an outsider. It was fun watching them do dance numbers, have fun games, take group pictures etc. But it's real sad not being a part of those things. Ugh. Anyway, no moping now so here's me and Leah trying to look decent. Oh and I enjoyed the open bar too. :)

Katie went home for a visit again! This time we met her at Brother's Burger in Rockwell. Uchi wanted to eat at San-Sung but Katie veetoed it -- sawa na siya sa Korean food hahaha. We were one long table and exhanged gifts. I asked Katie to get me a Korean Elle Girl mag and she did! Super thanks friend :) After that it was norebang (videoke in layman's terms haha) at Don't Tell Mama (that's the name of the place, no kidding) and then a visit at the newly discovered "My Room", a place that sells Korean stuff like books, K-pop CDs (as in orig ha) and other cutesy things. Almost all of us bought a Korean spoon you can bring in your lunch box. I envied Paola who can read, speak and understand Korean after studying in Korea for a sem.

Of course the season would not have been complete if the 'sisterhood' did not have a Christmas party of their own. So Jopen, Joy and I hied off to faraway Cavite, fetched Leah then zoomed to Tagaytay. It was darn cold but would that stop us? First stop was the Tagaytay Vista Lodge. No, we did not check in. We just used their restroom *lol* Jopen really had to drive by and inquire so we girls decided to take advantage of their facilities hehehe... Then we had dinner at Bag of Beans. Their food was quite yummy. And we did a talk marathon, which we haven't done for a long, long time.

Here are some nice stuff I got and discovered during the holidays:

My Meiji stash. I sooo love the one in the middle. I got some of the chocolates as exchange gifts. So don't mind me when I complain that I'm so fat hehehehe...

Franzen and Jayson. The mug mates. The two were part of Jihan and Moby's adopt-a-fish/gift giving at the office. Flow and I joined forces and placed the tiger barbs in a mug. Sadly, they weren't part of the survivors. They've gone to fishy heaven 2 days after adoption.

This is the Elle Girl Korean edition Katie bought for me. Real cool, with a Se7en fashion spread too. Alas, I can't read any of the articles. It's all in hangul. T_T

Magnolia has this new popsicle/pinipig crunch type of dairy bar. Has a choco coating and rainbow sprinkles on it. Kinda reminds me of their goodies back then called fun-something. I totally forgot what it's called. If you can remember what those funny shaped ice cream sticks (may banana flavor, strawberry, orange pa ata yung and pastel ang kulay niya) give me a buzz. :)

A picture of my first family of rabbits. This was still taped on the fridge in Bulacan. They're real cute but I don't wanna breed them. It's already hard taking care of one, how much more a bunch.

More breaking news for the year -- My boss has finally resigned, whoopee! Bad news, someone from the outside (again) is replacing her daw. Mahilig talaga mga tao dito sa puro yabang lang sa labas, wala naman maibuga sa trabaho. Hay more of this work angst later. On the lighter side, I got kissed yesterday by two gorgeous men -- Piolo and Sam. Hahaha... galit na galit si Cors sa akin. Many would kill to be in my shoes but di ko kasi sila type eh. Friends lang ang tingin ko sa kanila. *lol*

I should stop talking now. Randy's on his way to pick me up and I still have a lot of work to do. :)

The Geisha vs. Jang Gyong (or whatever the spelling is)

Our Christmas party this year was themed United Nations. And I brilliantly remembered Freddie having a Japanese get-up so, there you are, I'm a moshi moshi anone girl. :) There's a prize for Best in Costume and sadly Ms. Jang-Gyong (Ann in real life) beat me to it. I planned on wearing a hanbok actually but had a hard time finding one. So you can just say I almost had the bag in my hands but lost it. *heh* Most of the peeps there took advantage of our boss, the gorgeous *ahem* Paolo Pineda. But I wasn't one of 'em hahaha. If you wanna view more pics of the event just visit here.

Anyhows, been to another Christmas Party with some of the guys from PEX (which we all don't frequent as much as before). It was fun seeing Francis, Pao, Chelo, Tselo, Anna and Jenneth again. We haven't seen each other in months (almost a year yung iba) so we had a lot of catching up to do. Badette and Joy couldn't make it but hopefully we'd all see each other again soon (tuwing Pasko na lang ba 'to guys?).

I have another party to attend later -- the Star Magic Christmas Party. I planned not to attend before because I had some baggages left over from being laid off. But Cherry made me realize that I should ditch the angst and get over it. Well, I guess I did.

More cam whoring to share later. :)

Give me wisdom, plain and truthful...

I was in a rush to get to work the other day (I stayed up late, tinkering my Sims too much) and I boarded one of our building elevators with two men (one is pretty familiar to Cherry -- haha guess who!). Anyway, I was minding my own business but I could not help but listen to their conversation because their voices were a bit louder than the norm. Their chat went a bit like this...

Man 1: So you had a great time?
Man 2: Yeah, I did! I'm 37 years old and I haven't dated a smart girl like her in my whole life.

Then as I got off my floor, I wondered about Man 2. It was either...

a.) He's real superficial choosing dates.
b.) He hangs out at places no coherent conversation is possible.
c.) He lives under a rock and has just crawled out to the sunshine.
d.) His smart meter is waaay off the charts. He just dated the woman version of Albert Einstein recently.

You can add to the choices if you like. I can't fathom myself the correct answer.

De do do do, De da da da

I'm at my wits end thinking of a gift for my uncle and his wife. Every year my sister and I get stumped as to what stuff we should be getting them. First, they are a bit well-off. Second, my uncle fancies artsy and expensive stuff which we can't afford. Third, ang labo nila! *lol* We've given shower gels, figurines na out of the ordinary, coffee table books, fluffy bedroom slippers, colognes, polo-shirts...My creative gift giving powers are running out!

Well, you see we kinda feel obligated cause my uncle helped put us to school. Kaya lang ang daya, their whole family gives me and my sisters one gift each, while we have to give each of their family members one. Yeah, yeah, I know gift giving should be 'taos sa puso' but sometimes there are relatives you just can't seem to find a perfect gift.

Oh well, back to gift hunting...

I was cryin' when I met you, now I'm dying to forget you

You shouldn't compare yourself to others - they are more screwed up than you think. Quote for the day courtesy of Almond. Thanks for somehow making my day. :)

On the other side of the news...I don't want to be a grinch. I love Christmas. And giving gifts. But I think I'm slowly evolving into one.

Ahahay.

Monday, November 27, 2006

I'm not yours. What you waiting for?

Plastic Happy. All I wanted for Christmas were shiny, red, patent shoes. But I couldn't resist the pair I saw at Bayo. So I bought them yesterday! So yey, I have my shoes. And I'm walking with 'em to and fro work cause I don't have money for my fare hahaha. Just kidding. Domi already called mah shoes ruby slippers. Ah wish I could really go home like Dorothy. Be happy, happy, happy and worry free. But here I am doing Crazy for You episodes. *bleh*

Flow and I might have rejoiced just a tad too early. We might get stuck with her after all. I just wish she'd realize her so called friends are the ones spreading 'stuff' bout her. She might be drinking a lot of coffee from Starbucks everyday, however she has to unclog her nose and SMELL the coffee. I'd be happy if she leaves, but I feel she'd be happier in the process. IMHO.

Malas mo ikaw ang natipuhan ko.

I visited my old my space account and I can't help but reread my old blog. Gosh I was pretty bubbly yet full of bitterness back then! I'm actually amusing myself with my old entries. *lol* I used to write a lot of what I was feeling --without hesitation. I feel that old me has to be resurrected. So here I am making an entry like my old ones, in an attempt to, I dunno, be more honest to myself.

I'm confused. An old feeling is coming back to me. Because I had to feed my ego. And I can't shake it off. What's worse is that it's wrong. I know it is. I'm opening myself to hurt again and yet it's making me feel all excited. Yet sad. I want to get rid of these thoughts. The tingly feeling that makes my heart beat faster...

Shoo fly. Don't bother me. Please.

Meet Sniffer

My new bunny rabbit -- given by my boyfriend. We've passed him by several times at the mall and finally we got him. He's a holland lop. Pretty cute don't you think? But he's not so cute when he poops and wiwis. The down side of having a pet. And oh he has started gnawing at our curtains. He won't stay still long enough for me to take a decent photo of him.

Twick or Tweat!

I should have gone with the pig right? Went Halloween hat shopping with Randy for the contest at the office. I ended up with a pumpkin witch and viking hat. And didn't win. I could have won if I bought more hands to clap for me (Gaby was the only one there and she was more amused with Jollibee than me).

I won P125 in the parlor games though. Hirap kumita ng pera. *lol*

Knock, knock. Who's there?

Tanong: Anong hayop ang laging alanganin?
Sagot: E di baka!

Sometimes my boyfriend's jokes just kill me. :)

Sailor Moon live action!

Sailor Moon is the first anime I've watched on TV and got addicted to. Of course, I was real disappointed when Ch.5 cut the series off air even if it wasn't finished yet (or they moved its time slot and I totally missed the ending). I intended to buy the whole series on DVD but haven't gotten around to it (I actually have 3 K-dramas sitting on my shelf waiting to be viewed). Camille told me about the live action series and pointed me to a link on youtube. So now I'm amusing myself with the first episode. Makes me wonder if there's a copy of the live action on DVD too...

The girls look like Kim Chiu clones...well, I think one of them looks like Jjang Nara too. I'm satisfied with the look of my favorite senshi -- Sailor Jupiter on the show. The one who plays Usagi really looks like a klutz so I didn't expect her to look real pretty. *lol* Mamoru looks pretty as always with Japanese actors. The show has good subs too. One weird thing though, Luna's a plushie. *lol* Here's a preview of part one for your entertainment. :)

Rambling about...stuff

Just realized it takes a long time to heal the eye. 'Til now, I sometimes feel teary eyed because of the itchiness and pain. And my eyes have become sensitive to light. This morning while watching Sunny Pig, I used one of the throw pillows on the sofa to block out the light coming from the dining area. Argh. And on top of that I can't use make-up, even mascara. Boo-hoo. Hay, I have to be good. Hirap magkasakit lalo na sa taong tulad ko na walang benefit. *leche*

Anyway, as for that job interview I told you about...let's just say forget it. Ask me what happened in person. I'll tell you a funny story about it. I don't wanna put it down in writing for I might be googled for something else...*lol*

For those of you who know of any rakets for me...pahingi naman o! Hahaha...

Do I hear the call centers beckoning to me??? Noooooo....

Friday the 13th pala today at sale sa megamall. So it means malas ko wala akong perang pangshopping. Nyahahaha...

My eye hurts

Contact lenses + eye rubbing + abrasion + bacteria = eye infection

Yep. That's what the pain in my left eye was for the past few days. Good thing I knew it wasn't an ordinary 'sore eye' and headed straight to the doctor despite my scheduled job interview (which I had rescheduled). Anyway, a thousand pesos poorer, I need to have eye under medication for 2 weeks. I also have to sleep early, time my computer usage AND I can't wear my contacts, boo-hoo.

So for two whole weeks I'm back to my old, nerdy self. *sigh*

I miss Oh Tokyo!

For you guys who have missed watching the show Oh Tokyo! and its quirky host Ellen on the WINS channel, you can get to know her this Saturday, October 7 on Nagmamahal Kapamilya. Her life story's being told (she's being played by Toni Gonzaga) and I can't wait to see what's behind the funny lady who's famous line goes ..."Kung i-coconvert po ito sa pera natin ay ...."

Grabe, I remember staying up til the wee hours of the morning just to watch her. Dito nagsimula yung pagiging addict ko sa 'Asian' stuff, na napunta sa Arirang at Meteor Garden. Nakakaaliw si Ellen, promise!

If you wanna see or remisnisce some old Oh Tokyo! episodes (my favorite is the Shibuya edition) here's where you can watch it.

Eun-Hye again :)

Her new fashion spread for Korean brand Viki. Hay. :)

Quickies

Nah, it's not what you think. I'm just in a rush to put something in here so it's a dash of stuff here and there...

- I finally bought my ODM watch yahoo!!! I've been crushing on it since I saw it on Bianca Gonzales and I bought one on installment. One thing bad about it is that I can't spend on anything else during the next six months.

- There's this cool site on multiply -- http://mylittledress.multiply.com that sells absolutely adorable stuff. Unfortunately I can't afford it because of the previous thing I wrote. *sigh*

- I'm turning into a shopping monster again and Randy's not very happy about it. :)

- I'm thinking of applying for a new job...

- I was irked on the MRT again! There's this girl the other day, who elbowed me...sobrang atat to get on and grab a seat. The reason I discovered a little later on was that isa pala siya sa mga kinaiinisan kong powder on the train gels. She brought out this pink Pond's powder bottle out of her pa-kikay shoulder bag, poured some on her palm tapos nagpapagpag bago naglagay sa mukha. I was shocked and amazed at the same time.

That's all the time I have for my quickie today. See ya in longer posts or more quickies next time ;)

Food thoughts

I'm really scrapping the end of the barrel here, blogging about what we talk about during lunch. Just so I keep you guys happy with something to read, please forgive me for my so-so thoughts lately.

So how should I start this? The lunch group were talking about stuff that we don't like to eat. Of course veggies come on top of the list. Me, I'm a bit picky about sea food -- I don't eat crab and some fishies like ayungin and hito. They smell real bad for me to eat. I remember my sister and I hated it when my Lola cooked ayungin or hito because most of the time we were the designated clean up crew after every meal. Eventhough we didn't eat em, the fish will stink up the dining table, the plates, even the glasses. Washing the stuff is a real chore cause even after you use Joy and calamansi on your hands, it still stinks big time. Well, that off my chest we then proceeded to talking about weird stuff we eat. Someone (I don't recall who) said that a friend of his/her ate everything with ketchup, which was like eww, considering he likes eating sinigang with it. We recalled the Mang Tomas lechon sauce ads where they made the sauce a spread for pandesal. double eww.

Now here are the list so far of things people I know don't like to eat:

*okra (Grace and Randy hate the slimy stuff)
*cucumber (Again the sliminess of the veggie gets to Randy)
*suka (Thess gets a point here)
*mayonaisse (Thess and Lucille as far as I can remember has never touched the stuff)
*avocado (This makes Pia vomit)
*pizza (How can anyone hate this food? Well, Cors does)
*food with red sauce (Cors really hates 'em & this includes spaghetti)
*crab (I like the synthetic kani but the real thing makes me go "Gross!")
*liver (The 2 Pia's I know would rather jump off a building than eat liver)
*ponkan (Again Thess gets the point on this one)
*watermelon (Si Thess ulit! Weird ng taste buds ng taong to di ba?)
*hamburger (Cors din ayaw nito)
*menudo (Nauumay si Flow dito)
*tuyong adobo (Si Pia naman ang umay dito)
*ampalaya (Grace had to endure this because of her anemia, she had no other choice)

Contributions to this list are welcome.

Leave The Pieces :: Wreckers

You're not sure that you love me
But you're not sure enough to let me go
Baby it ain't fair
You know to just keep me hanging round
You say you don't wanna hurt me
Don't wanna see my tears
So why are you still standing here
Just watching me drown

(Chorus:)
And it's alright
Yeah, I'll be fine
Don't worry about this heart of mine
Just, take your love and hit the road
Cause nothing you can do or say
You're gonna break my heart anyway
So just leave the pieces when you go

Now you can drag out the heartache
Baby you can make it quick
Really get it over with and just let me move on
Don't concern yourself with this mess you left for me
I can clean it up you see
Just as long as your gone

(Chorus)

You're not making up your mind
It's killin' me
You're wasting time
I need so much more than that

(Chorus)

Leave the pieces when you go
Leave the pieces when you go

Yeah
Yeah
Yeah

Leave the pieces when you go

You Are Here...

Me and the gang were finally up and about last Friday but it was not the usual 'joyride' we used to have. Actually our "driver" Jerry was in the hospital and we visited him after his operation (as to which part of his body..it's a secret) at the Medical City along Ortigas.

Yes. We were right there.

It was a very weird get-together you might say, missing months of taking 'joyrides' together. They planned it to be an all-nighter but how can 8 people sleep inside a very cramped room?

Me standing beside Jerry's dextrose which he moved to make room for Grace on his bed.

Jerry tried his best to be sober around us but within minutes we had him cracking up (the doctor told him not to laugh too much). The poor patient had to even endure watching us while we ate his favorite monggo soup, kare-kare and fish for dinner (bawal kasi sa kanya hehehe).

Poor guy. He even had to make room for us on his bed. He can't even walk properly yet.

Here are some of the people present during this "rare event":

Grace, the gal who hogged Jerry's bed and the remote *lol*

Ana, just discovered the joy of Eaji's salsa dip and couldn't stop saying 'Mmmm....'

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Ate Net texting away on her motorazor...

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Thess, also checking up on 'someone'...

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Zeny, pretty shocked at what Jerry 'revealed' to her (he put on a show for the early birds a few minutes before)

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
And last but not the least the overworked Nhila Mallari who had a 5AM flight the following day.

It was important for us to be there that day for Jerry is actually leaving for the US in a few weeks. *sniff* No more joyrides. There will be a special despidida for him but I guess we're catching up on lost time.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
The gang. Hopefully we'll still journey together even without B3 (short for Batu-Batong Bakla).

Get well soon Jers. See you on the 15th.

I dunno why some guys still think that the line "Miss, pwede ba makipagkilala?" works.

It's actually really creepy.

The chili cheese flavoring for the shaker fries made everyone sneeze though. *heh*

"Windy, windy, windy..."

That's how the Eugene song "Windy" goes and I wanted to sing that (and dance the infamous steps too)when she visited Manila and the station last Friday. Of course, it's another gazoo sighting for me and work at the same time, which makes me love my job sometimes.*lol* Anyway she was real pretty! Not as tall as I expected but real nice and lovely. She had a good command of the english language so it was no biggie for us to call out to her (which I didn't, pretending to be a professional writer and all that *ahem*). I've liked her even way back during my "arirang" days. I've watched Pops in Seoul like hundreds of times and caught on S.E.S fever (her singing group with Bada and Shoo) since they belonged to SM Entertainment then, the same management as BoA and FTTS.

I wonder if she'd sign the pirated S.E.S CD that I bought in Ongpin. Hahaha, I know she won't. But I know of a stalker friend who got her photobook successfully signed.*lol*

For my pics of her visit you can see 'em all here.

Princess Mode

Warning: Fan Girl rambling ahead! :)

Eversince Tin told me that Eun-Hye reminded her of me, it made me wanna watch Princess Hours (Goong) more. After making hints at Randy to buy me a copy (passing the pirated DVD copy everyday on the way home) he finally does and here I am watching an episode every night. Well, actually I watched three the first time and two last night so now I'm on Chapter 20! Four more to go whoopee.

Hmm...first off, I do see myself in Eun-Hye, I mean not as pretty as her but in her style of dressing and her mannerisms (tama ka Tin!). Camille asked me a few days back if I'm rooting for Yul or Shin. At first well...Yul had this Hua Ze Lei feel, but now I'm getting more into Shin's masungit yet softy personality. And the bears at the end of each eppy, they are sooo cute!

Hmm...would they all live happily ever after? Gusto kong maging prinsesa! -- not. Hehe...millionaire na lang.

Bring Back My Bunny to Me

My bunny lies over the ocean,
My bunny lies over the sea,
My bunny lies over the ocean,
Oh bring back my bunny to me...

The last of my bunnies has died and gone to bunny heaven. *sniff* I really cried when my grandma called me to say that Velveteen aka Ebeng had passed away last Saturday. She died of old age. She was already 8 years old. Her hubby, Rabitty, passed away about 3 years ago due to an eye infection. I miss them.

Ebeng, during Christmas of 2005. She snorts when you pick her up. She hates being cuddled.

Thanks Ivy for giving me those bunnies waaay back in college.

Plugging -- again!

It's the August issue of Pink Mag! I have two articles in it -- the cover story on PBB Teen Big Winner Kim Chiu and tidbits on Korean superstah, Rain.

Take note of Star Studio's August ish too with Sam Milby and Toni Gonzaga on the cover. Read the articles on Star Magic's newest hotties and best friends Nikki Valdez-Rica Peralejo plus Carla Loren - Pauleen Luna. Done by yours truly too. :)

Available in bookstores and suking supermarkets and newstands nationwide. (Bili na kayo para matuwa si Cherry nai)*heh*

Testing beauty stuff

Here I am again doing silly stuff. Last night me and Randy bought this box of pore strips. Sucker for cute packaging, I chose the one with this girl cartoon on the front. At home as I closely inspected the box, it said "Made in Japan". Ah kaya naman pala na-magnet ako. So here I am modelling the pore strip for you guys. And I am glad to report that I don't have much blackheads on my nose (unless press release lang yung nasa box na nakakalinis siya). *heh*

Dreary Monday

It's another rainy monday. I really hate the rainy days. The DJs on the radio are right. One would love the rain IF you're absolutely ain't gonna do anything except lounge around the house. Or you're not living in Malabon and Navotas. Hehe -- the reason why we always tease Flow to bust out his kayak everytime it rains. (He refers to his home in Sangandaan an island.)

This is the view outside our office.

see the PBB house below? the pinoy dream academy is just beside it. just wanted everyone to know.

Anyhoos, my feet are wet again. BUT I was surprised to find an ABS-CBN shuttle at the Q.Ave MRT station! I got dropped off at the Starbucks right at the ELJ entrance. Galing. Ala lang. It just amused me.

Before I end this here's the link to LDW's pics. Enjoy!

Dong Wook-shi!

I wanted to call him that when he walked by right in front of us after the presscon. The agony of being so near yet so far.

Alright I'm not a major LDW fan, but he's a Korean actor and a good looking one at that so therefor he counts on my must-see-in-person list. We (Abby and I) were at the presscon at exactly 4 PM. We got in together with the publishing people and got seated at the table right in front. Of course I had to test my camera (ah my SO's pala) so I took pictures of the A.rang poster beside the MyGirl one. I was surprised when this Korean girl started talking to me. She was actually a writer for Manila Seoul Weekly, a publication for Koreans in the PH. I also got to talk to her Filipino counterpart, Tin.

Then commotion. He has finally arrived. LDW had this boyish charm about him that made him more...approachable. He laughed graciously at some of the press people's jokes and comments.

BUT an old fag, who thinks his clout can get him anywhere gate crashed the presscon, fought with LDW's interpreter plus grabbed his arm, the injured one at that! He started calling people names, said something ill to the guests and stomped out like an ogre who didn't get what he wanted. All hopes of getting a picture with LDW flew out the window...He has agreed to a group picture for goodness sake!

This was the closest I got. Oh well, at least I got to ask him the last question of the day and managed to say, "Anneyonghaseo! Patricia imnida!...".

And that ends my LDW adventure. *bow* (I'll post links to the pics as soon as I dl them.)

It would have read...

A Day in the Life of Lee Dong Wook by Patty Ramirez.

I lost the assignment from Star Studio to another writer just last night because they thought I would not be able to excuse myself from my job. And my boss' hearing me lament about said it would have been alright. I could have even gotten stuff for the site.

Consolation prize, there's a press conference tomorrow and we're invited.

So much for me saying my life as a fan girl is over. :)

Gusto ko palang gumasta...

Last Friday, I wanted to do something that I couldn't quite put my finger on. Yun pala I just needed to cure an itch. My shopping itch! Hehe, haven't done that hobby for quite a while. Good thing Shangrila Mall was on their end of season sale! Yehey. My significant other looked funny sitting in a corner while waiting for me try on stuff. I was chuckling to myself because he was lumped together with other guys waiting for their gfs who were trying on clothes too. *lol* Well, to put it short I'm broke again. Bought new shoes from So F.A.B. (the one in the pic I'm wearing today and jeans from BAYO. I wanted to buy a bag too but seeing a very nice and expensive one at SM, I decided to hold my bag itch off and just save for it. Wish ko lang it would still be there. =)

*Cherry will kill me if she sees this entry.

Ish Ur Berday

Yep. Turned another year older. Blech. =)

Had a small GT with the TEC girls (get together -- remember that term girls???). Strong rains prevented Mai, Ivy and Cherry from coming but that's Ok. Liezle, Eve, Bambie, Dhing, Tina, Jopen, Leah and Joy did a good job at finishing all the food. Actually I received 3 cakes from them (a chocolate, brazo de mercedes and crema de fruta) plus the mango crunch cake Randy bought me the day before. (He's even more excited over my birthday than I am.) I think they all have a plan to make me a blimp by the end of the year.

So it's a Monday again. I feel lousy actually. I'm wearing my fat pants today. I call them fat pants because 1.) I only wear it when I'm really fat 2.) It also makes me look fat. Hehehe...weird logic. The 3 pairs of jeans left that fit me now are still hanging outside to dry. My beautiful pairs of pants (about 5-6) DO NOT fit anymore. Dang! Seriously I need to lose the fat that's accumulated at my hips, thighs and butt.

Sigh. Oh before I forget, I am still accepting belated birthday gifts 'til the end of this month. ;)

Is She Kidding Me???

1,500 words for our website headline? She's got to be kidding me. Magazine articles (a full story at that) consist of 1,500 words. Sometimes even less. And with the info I get for the headlines...1,500??? If you were given a one paragraph press release, can you turn that into a 1,500 word article?

I'm just a writer. I'm not a magician.

ps. And as far as I know too, online articles are supposed to be short. Unless it's a study or something. But you can correct me if I'm wrong.

Me, me, me!

To change the view from the dismal entry below I am posting a photo of my new eye glasses.

of course it includes my face. where's the sense of it if it doesn't???

I've got nothing much to say. Happy to hear from the TEC girls (aka the F4FU mods). A simple "Kamusta?" from Leah brought in a flood of emails. 71 to be exact.
