I ordered a dinosaur costume for Tidus from Amazon for Halloween. I overestimated the size so it was a tad too big for him. I had to come up with a simple Halloween costume that doesn't involve masks, gloves or hard to remove body suits in case a diaper boo boo happens. Plus it must not be too expensive. So I inspected Tidus' wardrobe and figured he can go as Super Mario after seeing his denim jumper. It took me three nights to work on his hat (a store-bought hat, which I customized with the letter M), a star and a mushroom. And these are the finished products.
Tidus went to two Halloween parties wearing this costume, the Mommy Talk Philippines one in Valle Verde 2 in Pasig and the Star Magic Halloween No Tricks, All Treats party.
I've discovered that I've become a crafty mommy! I could still do all those artsy stuff I did in elementary and high school.
There was another neighborhood Halloween party and since Tidus' overalls were in the laundry, I just made him wear his shark shirt.
So what's the next adventure for Tidus and I? Well, Christmas is just around the corner :)

Tidus at almost nine months
He still doesn't have teeth at nine months. But Tidus is a happy baby and really loves to smile. He already knows when we are taking pictures and videos of him. My friends say he's a future child star. Hmm. I dunno about that. LOL.
My dinosaur obsession for Tidus continues. The shirt he's wearing in the pictures was something I bought when he was only three months old. I also bought him a dinosaur costume to wear for Halloween. However, since I bought it on on Amazon, it was bigger than what I expected. I also bought a dinosaur house (which will be a Christmas gift), a touch and feel dino book and dino cupcake toppers and liners.
I'm just happy Tidus is growing up well. Even though we had a bout of coughs and colds last week, he has recovered and is very much healthy.
Now, I'm anticipating his first Halloween party and Christmas. :)

Tidus' eating adventures
Tidus is already six months! How time flies. And now he is ready to eat
solids. At first, yaya and I started with spoon-feeding him pureed food
like porridge, potatoes, squash and some apple. But Ninang Ivy gave
Tidus a high chair as a baptismal gift so I assembled it this morning to
give Baby-Led Weaning a try. What is Baby-Led Weaning you ask? BLW simply means forgetting purées and weaning spoons and simply letting your baby feed himself.
So here goes Tidus feeding himself a banana. He's a pretty funny baby don't you think? :)

More kawaii-ness that is Tidus
It was another hot Saturday afternoon. Yaning (Tidus' nanny) and I agreed we'll go to the supermarket with the little one and hang out at the bakery there because of the A/C. However, when we got there, a family of three had the same idea as ours and occupied the lone table. I then decided we go to Chowking, to have halo-halo but it was a few blocks away. We took the trike and in a minute or so, we were in halo-halo land. BUT Chowking's A/C was on blower mode, and it wasn't as cold as expected. We had no other choice though and we ordered two halo-halos.
Tidus became curious of the treats once the waiter placed our orders in front of us. Seeing me and Yaning eat with our spoons, we observed that he was also licking his lips, imitating probably our actions. Tidus couldn't eat anything other than formula (he just turned 3 months old) so I just let him pretend to eat from my spoon.
The colorful sago, gulaman and ube ice cream certainly had him wide-eyed. :)

Tidus
He is the one that has kept me busy for the past 12 months. He is my new adventure. The love of my life. Since I've come back to work a week ago, I've been missing him and I've turned over a new leaf by going to work early so I can leave early to be with him.
With this announcement, you'd probably be flooded with his pictures and stories on motherhood in this blog from now onwards.
Ain't he super cute? :)
